BURSA RAILWAY EMEK ROUTE SPRINGS TO LIFE WITH THE SAVINGS FROM THE GORUKLE ROUTE
Construction of the 2.5 km. Emek railway route which was designed using the savings from the new approach to the Gorukle route project is proceeding rapidly. The intersection configuration in front of the Besas Bread Factory that is within the scope of this project, includes the railway system, Bursa railway station and an intersection, therefore work is intensified in this area. Korupark and Emek station railway track laying is 50% completed and completed parts are put into service. As a result Mudanya road is opened to traffic and the traffic which was routed behind Korupark through Emek is rerouted back to its normal course as the three lane road is opened to traffic. This way, drivers do not have to travel the extra 3-4 km and the traffic jams in the area are prevented. The work speeds up as the temperature rises to the seasonal values and the Emek route is scheduled to be integrated into the system in October. After the integration of the Emek route it will be more comfortable and direct for residents of Bursa to travel to the seaside in the summer. Passengers who take the Bursa Railway to Oyak Renault Factory station will then be able to travel to Mudanya easily by the supplementary routes.
